Established in 1962, Harrell’s Nursery has thrived for more than 50 years on excellence and growth.  Owned and operated by Winfred and Sue Harrell, they started the nursery in their backyard as a hobby before expanding to their first five acres. Over the years they continued to expand through purchasing 10-20 acres at a time as opportunities opened. Today, with more than 250 acres and 140 employees, many of whom have been with the company for 15-30 years, the wholesale nursery is one of the oldest and largest in Central Florida.

While specializing in Azaleas, the nursery has additionally found success in growing new products to meet the demands of the changing market. Offering more than 150 species of containerized ornamentals and shrubs, Harrell’s impact reaches across the states, region and country. Internationally they have sold and transported products to Puerto Rico and the Bahamas.  Primary customers include Landscapers, brokers, retail nurseries, wholesale nurseries and re-wholesale nurseries.

Throughout the couples 56 year ownership, they have continued to succeed by a tradition of providing quality crops, maintaining a long–term dedicated staff and emphasizing the importance of customer satisfaction as their first priority.
